Activities
FIRST Robotics
Founded a FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) Team in 2006
and participated all six years in various capacities including team captain and
lead progammer. I have taught programming, allowing Amity to grow to two FTC
teams with three FLL teams and have started/mentored three neighboring
community teams. My team was part of the
Boy Scouts of
Eagle Scout, and have been
involved in Boy Scouts for nine years. I am an active role model and leader in
the troop, providing guidance to new scouts and helping the troop grow. I was
Senior Patrol Leader spring of 2011, in charge of Troop of 30 boys. Participated in seven High Adventure treks accumulating over 450
miles and over 100 nights camping. Inducted into the
Order of the Arrow, Scouting's National Honor Society.
Baseball
Played High School and Little
League Baseball.
Swung between varsity and JV freshman and sophomore years; played varsity and
received an athletic letter in my junior year. Team captain
sophomore and junior years.
National Honor Society
Inducted into Amity’s National
Honor Society at the end of my sophomore year. Participated
in service projects, including a $5,000.00 “Community 101” grant, which was
distributed to non-profits in our community. Currently
the chapter president.
